ASTM A325

A325 was a ASTM International specification for heavy hex structural bolts.

A325 had covered high strength heavy hex structural bolts 1/2" through 1-1/2" in diameter. It was withdrawn in 2016 and became a grade of F3125. However, A325 is still commonly referred to, so it is listed here for reference.

A325 TYPES

 

A325 Type 1:

Medium carbon, carbon boron, or medium carbon alloy steel.

 

A325 Type 3:

Weathering steel.

 

A325 Type T:

Fully threaded A325 (restricted to four times the diameter in length).
